So I got dressed yesterday and then half way through the day I decided I looked like a soccer mom. I could be nothing further from that. I don't like soccer, I don't drive a mini van and I kind of hate kids. Well, not hate, but really, they are sticky little creatures.
The soccer mom uniform: french walnut khakis and navy monogrammed cardy, Lands' End; blue and white striped oxford, Ralph Lauren, "clambake" d-ring belt, Vineyard Vines. What you can't see are coordinating blue and brown argyle socks and ballet flats.
(Before you chastise me, let me just say I NEVER button down my collars on button down shirts! Looks too mannish for my taste.)
(BTW, clothes laid out on bed before I put them on
make for a perfectly delightful cuddle spot!)

Love it, looks very much like my wardrobe everyday. And I never button down my collars either.
I don't like soccer, don't drive a minivan although I do have kids. But I really don't like them very much.
So....I think we need to come up with a new name for this look.
LOL!!! Let's just call the ensemble "awesome" because we know we are!! :)
I had to laugh when I saw the title of your posting.
There are many days I think I look like a soccer mom. I am not a mother (OK I have 15 nieces and nephews ranging in age between 21 and 7 months old). I do not drive a mini van (but I guess I come close with and SUV). But I know what I feel comfortable in and that is what I wear.
I like American football do not understand soccer.
Don't worry, I kind of hate kids too! (except for my own, of course!)
U look hawt! :)
Always nice to see you, Lisagh...especially in such a great outfit! And I like your collar unbuttoned--but I urge you to reconsider. After all, if it was good enough for 1982, it's certainly good enough for 2012! :)
Dig your duds! Espech the belt, swoon! And the comment about the "sticky" part of those creatures is BE~yond true. I have 27 of them! Yes, kids...okay it is only 5 days a week in my classroom BUT they are always sticky! And I love each one (shhhh cause I get to give em back)! hahahaha
Love and Hugs,
Mrs. Kindergarten...aka...Madamm Spoiled
I always say that I look like a camp counselor. Sticky kids ... so true.
Knit up a little soccer ball for your sweet fur babies to bat around. Then you'll be a "soccer mom"! :) BTW, the ensemble is "awesome"!!
i kind of agree with all of your sentiments haha!!! except for my darling daughter of a kid... but she is really more like a mini-adult, anyway. ;)
