Ever since Mel posted this article on Twitter last week, I've been obsessed with the style statement I like to call a Wrist Party. (My favorite samples in that photo essay are #7 and #19.)
Usually I just wear a watch and Tiffany bracelet on the left arm and in the summer add a turk's head knot bracelet or similar on the right. But this new trend is great and I just love the idea of being a little more "blingy"! So, I went out on Friday night and picked up some supplies to get my crafty on to create some fun, wrist adornments that are just my style! My left wrist has my trusty stainless steel TAG Heuer watch, a Tiffany heart tag bracelet that was a gift from my friend Mary-Lea, and a Swarovski crystal toggle bracelet that was a gift from my friend Jacqueline.
On my right wrist, I'm sporting three of the bracelets I made this weekend. On top is an embroidery string, friendship-style, chevron bracelet in pink, green and white that I surprisingly still remembered how to make from years ago! I attached it to a silver link chain to make it a little less summer camp-ish. Next is an add-a-bead bracelet with green glass and pink rhinestone beads on braided leather, and finally a toggle faux-pearl bracelet. I just love how fresh and summery this looks!
So what's next for my Wrist Party? I suppose I'm going to have to work on a couple other little trinkets to transition into the autumn, but for now, this little assortment is just perfect. And of course, if the manufacturers of the real baubles ever make their bracelets in variable sizes (damn my gargantuan wrists!) I might just be tempted to pick up one of these or these… Ooooo la la!

I am a bit of a creature of habit and usually just have a bracelet on my left hand which is Swarovski crystals and pearls. I made it as part of a breast cancer fundraiser a few years ago and it quickly became a favorite.
Maybe...you should think of making these available for sale ?

I'm glad you had the good sense to make that bracelet yourself instead of buying the ones in the article. I'm shocked at how much money those bracelets are fetching!
Bracelets and rings are my favorite pieces of jewelry mainly because I can seem them when I wear them. I switch between gold & silver with pearls, beads, and shells sometimes in the mix. I love yours. They are so pretty! I want to try making a sailor's knot. I'm not very crafty, so there is no telling what it may look like!!!
